How it all began...

It’s a loonnnnggg story…

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Mariana who really, really really wished to have a cuty dog. However, her parents were always saying “we can’t have a dog in the appartment”, “how is it gonna be when we want to go on holidays?”… and a lot of other things you can imagine. Anyway… her despair was so big that she even bribed Santa Claus once!

About three years ago, Mariana’s dream turned finally true! I don’t know how she did it, but the truth is that she made her family go with her to Pombal to Quinta da Formiga and pay you-don’t-wanna-know-how for a cute beautiful intelligent lovely sweet pure blood Golden Retriever: Me!

After a troubled trip, in which I almost made all my four humans vomitting with my extraordinary puke&poop habilities, i finally got home! It was weird… lonely, with none of my doggy brothers and sisters… and I didn’t know who that two-paws-beings were… so I went to the safest place in the whole house: under the kitchen chair. (I also barked – something the dog breeder told my humans i would never do…but I did).

After a few months (after a ripped coach, destroyed shoes, maggazines, newspapers, tows, CD’s, letters…) i could finally conquer my humans’ hearts and i could beat the evil place where they wanted me to go to:

The kennel! (available for only 80€!)... Yes, yes, I bet he’s pretty happy there too!... Well in my case, the poor one never got out of its box…

Anyway, nowadays I am 3 years old I live with my humans in the appartment and we go to our countryside house on our holidays, we go to the beach and stuff like that :D We also use to go to a place they call Vet once in a while… it’s nice, most of the times at least, and they give me biscuits in the end of each visit! I really love go there… That’s why Mariana almost falls in the ground everytime she take me there and i realize where we’re going to :D

I loooooveeee sleeeepiiinnnngg, it’s just sooo awesome! And dreaming, and snoring… and making weird noises too...

Hello there my friends! :D Sorry for being out for a while but Mariana went on holidays for three weeks and none of my human relatives knew how to work with the blog. I hope your holidays were as good as mine. While Mariana was in England, Mum, Dad, Big Bro and I went to Tocha! I met a lot of people this year and I saw a lot of friends I met last year! All of the human friends said I am really nice and friendly!
However Mariana took her photographic machine with her and so we didn’t have any machine with us… So instead of show you my photos, I let Mariana post some of her photos of England here. I hope you like it :)

First of all: Me! This picture was taken by Mariana on the day she left. I knew that sooner or later she would leave because I saw her luggage. I shew her and my family my sadness in order to make her stay but the inevitable happened! So, when I saw her ready to go and with the machine on her hands I just could do my part: a big smile so she could remember me like that.

The plane: Mariana told me she took this photo when the plane was turning. I think plane travels weren’t made for me or my stomach.

Now Oxford little ladies and fellas! Isn’t it beautiful?

Oh look, this is Port Meadow. Mariana is telling me right now that Port Meadow is a kind of a park where cows, horses, ducks and other birds are completely free and you can walk near them because they are used to people. They also come to you to see if you have food! She totally recommends you visiting Port Meadow if you are in Oxford!

Here it is Christ Church where parts of Harry Potter were filmed!

Now Cambridge! A really beautiful city! Mariana went punting there and she really loved it! You can see some gorgeous colleges and undercross some bridges while doing that.

And yes, Mariana met Bob Marley!!! Can you believe that? She says it is a wax doll but of course I don’t believe her! I mean, a wax doll? I think Mariana needs to be a bit smarter the next time she wants to pull my leg...

Pois, hoje a Mariana decidiu que era preciso um bocadinho de treino. Começámos pelo básico :)

Yes, today Mariana decided that a little bit of train was needed. We started for the basics :D

O "Senta". Pode-se dizer que sou um aluno atento, ah?

Depois de tudo isto recomeçamos a treinar o "andar ao lado", o que foi uma tarefa um pouco complicadinha para mim mas acho que com um pouco mais de prática se consegue :)

After all that we restarted training me going just on her side while she walks, what was a bit difficult to me but I think I need just a be more of practice and I get it :D

E vejam só o que a Mariana me emprestou como incentivo para a próxima aula!

O dia começa bem...

Hoje a minha mana já tinha razões para estar de cabelos em pé comigo! :$ Comecei o dia com o roubo matinal, mas desta vez não foram apenas meias ou chinelos, foi o biquini dela! Se tanto ela como os meus Papás soubessem o quão irresistível é a roupinha interior de cada um e o seu calçado... Assim como os pacotes de lenços e rolos de papel higiénico... De certeza que não insistiam com as suas conversas de "Bart foste tão feio" e "Bart isto não se faz! Ai Ai!". Eu bem faço aquela cara de medo e de envergonhado, e no momento nem os consigo olhar nos olhos, mas não adianta muito porque eles voltam sempre a repetir o raspanete...

E aqui estou eu, a curtir o sermão que eles me deram...

Depois para ir à rua foi outro problema :$ estava a chover um bocadito e eu não sei o que se passava comigo que sentia uma comichão tremenda na minha pata e tinha que me deitar no alcatrão (todo molhado) para me coçar. Como se isso não chegasse veio-me uma súbita vontade de me aliviar precisamente ao lado dos resíduos biológicos de um vizinho meu... escusado será dizer que uma das minhas patinhas se enterrou mesmo por cima deles...

Balanço final: acho que o meu dia começou mesmo bem :D

Olá, sou o Bartinho ^^

Nasci na Quinta da Formiga no dia 10 de Outubro de 2007. Os meus donos foram-me buscar no dia 22 de Dezembro, ainda eu pesava 5 quilinhos.

Agora tenho um ano e meio e quase trinta quilos a mais. A minha Maninha humana decidiu começar este blog para contar os meus pecados e aventuras. Ela vai começar por mostrar como eu era e depois como estou agora ^^

Espero fazer muitos amiguinhos de quatro patas e de duas também :)

Aqui estou eu no meu primeiro dia em casa. Não sabia quem eram aquelas quatro pessoas... fiquei com medo e o primeiro lugar que achei seguro foi debaixo da mesa da cozinha...

A Sra. da Quinta da Formiga disse aos meus donos que eu não ladrava, mas eles começaram a duvidar disso, porque mal me vi debaixo da mesa mandei uma ladradela...
